An Official Pride Center and In Our Own Voices Event! This annual tradition continues to get bigger and better each year! Come together with The Pride Center and In Our Own Voices as we officially kick off PRIDE with our new revamped Kickoff BLOCK PARTY in the parking lot next to Waterworks Pub and ROCKS.  Enjoy a fun evening with food, music, libations, and chances to win fun prizes. Schenectady Pride Festival (2pm-4pm) on the Jay Street Marketplace. Featuring our annual Drag Spectacular hosted by Champagne, the Empress of Schenectady. Live performances by local talent along with vendors and our always fabulous pride ambiance. Queer Liberation March (4–5pm) staging on the Jay Street Marketplace and youth-led march down State Street (heading west) ending at Gateway Plaza (next to SUNY Schdy). This march will celebrate 50 years of progress since the Stonewall Uprising and our fight for LGBTQ rights in NYS and beyond!

The Pride Center of the Capital Region and In Our Own Voices presents the PRIDE 5K Rainbow Run 9am–12pm | Jennings Landing, 1 Quay St., Albany | $40

An Official Pride Center and In Our Own Voices Event! Registration begins at 9:00am at Jennings Landing, Rainbow Fun Run (0.62 miles; open to walkers and runners of all ages and abilities) at 10:00am, and 5K (3.1 miles) at 11:00am. Awards and prizes immediately following the 5K! 

Prizes will then be awarded to the top three participants in the female, male, and open gender categories, as well as the top three participants in each age bracket. Also, wear your Rainbow Best! Awards for Individuals and Teams “Best Use of Rainbow.” Check the Pride Center website at for online registration details. Please complete one registration per race participant.  Online pre-registration closes Thursday, June 6 at 9:00pm.

An In Our Own Voices Event! The Celebration will take place at Washington Park, Albany. The event is an outdoor affair for all LGBT POC, families, and allies. International Pop Singer Adina Howard and local talent will be providing entertainment. There will be a kids’ corner featuring Bouncy Bounce, face painting, and more! A variety of foods and beverages will be on hand throughout the day to tempt the taste buds of all attendees. The Celebration highlights our talents and contributions to the larger LGBT community.

The Capital PRIDE Parade presented by Hannaford steps off at noon in Washington Park, led by the Community March, and is full of music, inspiration, and of course, a sense of celebration and unity! The Parade and March will feature Capital Region community members, elected officials supporting the LGBTQ community, businesses, community organizations, allies, and of course amazing floats, music, dancing, and goodies. Bring friends and set up on the Parade route to cheer on this amazing event! The parade route is along State St. to Lark St. to Madison Ave. to Washington Park, Albany.

An Official Pride Center Event! Don’t miss the largest PRIDE celebration in Upstate New York! The Capital PRIDE Festival headlined by international pop star Mya.  With performances by NOTD w/Georgia Ku, AJ Mitchell, Jake Miller and Albany’s Grand Central Station band. With a stirring Revel, high energy, top-notch entertainment, hundreds of vendors—including some of the area’s best food trucks, crafters, shops and merchants, as well as community groups—a family zone, and some exciting surprises for 2019, the Capital PRIDE Festival is one of the region’s biggest and most highly anticipated events!

Vintage Pride Sunset Cruise 6–8pm | Dutch Apple Cruises, 141 Broadway, Albany | $40

Join Vintage Pride for a fabulous party riding down the Hudson River. Tickets are $40, board the boat at 5:30, and cruise from 6 to 8pm. Dance the night away, rain or shine, thanks to indoor and outdoor decks. Delicious appetizers and dinner fare will be provided, along with a cash bar. Unfortunately, the boat is not handicap accessible. With safety in mind, we suggest low-heeled or soft-soled shoes. This Pride Center event is for Vintage Priders (aged 55+), as well as friends and supporters of Vintage Pride.
